Africa Facts & Info

Africa is the second largest continent and consist of 54 countries and 9 territories. There are more than 1.3 billion people living in Africa and the number of languages spoken is over 2000.

Because Africa is so large and covers both the Northern and Southern hemispheres, the best time to travel will depend on which countries you plan to visit.

If you’re looking to go on a Safari, the best ones happen in countries in the Southern Hemisphere. Going between June and October will be outside the rainy season and cooler.

If you want to visit a northern location such as Morocco or Egypt, avoid the middle of the year when it’s the hottest and opt to travel in early spring (Mar-Apr) or late fall (Oct-Nov). No matter when you choose to go you can guarantee that it will be a unique experience.
